Songwriter/singers Joie Scott-Poster and Marc-Alan Barnette are going to help us write the lyrics to a song during the one hour we have together this evening.
Joie is a #1 and Emmy-nominated songwriter who had over 75 of her songs recorded. She landed her first cut with the well-known cowboy trio, Riders in the Sky. She co-wrote the super hit Collin Raye’s “Not that Different” as well as “Shoes,” recorded by Shania Twain and used on the soundtrack of “Desperate Housewives.” “Hey Bro” the rocking’ country track record by Matt Westin? Yup. That’s Joie’s, too!
Marc-Alan scored a cut with Shelby Lynne his first night in Nashville in 1988. He has has success in Nashville as a writer, several publishing deals, and cuts by John Berry and David Ball, including the single “Too Much Blood in My Alcohol Level” on the Ball “Freewheeler” album. he has co-wrtten with the best and along with his former back-up singers “The Kinleys,” he has opened shows for Charlie Daniels, Garth Brooks and Patty Loveless.
