The Tennessean has the latest information on the Fourth of July celebration in Nashville: "Don't make plans to celebrate this Fourth of July with a free block party concert in downtown Nashville. The annual concert won't happen in 2020, Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. confirmed May 19. Instead, a fireworks show celebrating local health care workers and first responders will air at 9 pm via News Channel 5. The hour-long broadcast will feature a soundtrack recorded by Nashville musicians. The changes in Independence Day tradition comes as COVID-19 precautions continue to shutter virtually all major summer gatherings. Firework spectators will not be allowed in city parks.
