E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is about a gentle alien who becomes stranded on Earth, where he is discovered and befriended by a young boy named Elliott. Bringing the extraterrestrial into his suburban California house, Elliott introduces E.T., as the alien is dubbed, to his brother and sister. The movies tells a story about friendship and love: about a relationship between a little boy and a creature from outer space that becomes his best friend.
