Instead of their virtual gathering the first Tuesday of the month, our parents group is going to meet in person in December to celebrate the holidays. Parents of our Friendship House residents and of individuals on our waiting list are invited to join the group's coordinators -- John & Mary Bers and India Triplett & Mike Hopper -- at Desano Pizzeria, located at 115 16th Avenue South, at 6:30 pm, on Tuesday, December 7. Dinner -- including gelato for dessert -- will be provided by Our Place Nashville. The evening will culminate the group's efforts to respond to a $100,000 challenge grant that Our Place received in November to establish an endowment fund, helping to create a sustainable stream of income to support our Friendship House residents long into the future.
