The Best Buddies Citizens program matches an adult with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a one-to-one friendship with a peer without a disability. This buddy pair develops a friendship like any other and promotes a more inclusive world for adults with and without disabilities. If you would like to be matched with a Citizens buddy, contact Tracey Jernigan. A number of our Friendship House residents have joined this program this year -- many with a new Best Buddies chapter made up of Our Place Nashville residents and Vanderbilt University Medical School students. There are two Citizen Buddies waiting to be matched, so apply now to avoid a waiting list.
