What is neurodiversity and what does it mean to be neurodivergent? More and more people are being diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum or as having autism spectrum disorders. Many of you have heard the truism, "If you know one person with autism, you know one person with autism." For our life skills class this evening, one person diagnosed with autism as an adult -- Hillary Dzialowski -- is going to tell us her story and what she has learned about how autism has been treated in history, how it is being seen now and what a neurodiverse future looks like. Hillary is the Program Coordinator at Dismas House. Come for an engaging conversation where shared experiences can definitely show how much more we have in common than we are different. The class meets from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm at the Easley Community Center, 1100 Edgehill Avenue. Contact Jordan Collins for more information.
