OPN Family Group Meeting - Supported Decision Making

The Family Group is for family members whose loved ones either reside at one of our Friendship Houses or are on the waiting list to move into one of the new houses. The group meets virtually from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm on the first Tuesday of each month.

The topic for may is Supported Decision-Making. Supported decision-making refers to the idea that a person has the right to make decisions to the full extent of their capacity, even as they get needed support. The facilitator for this topic is Penny Johnson, Program Coordinator, Center for Decision-Making Support, The Arc Tennessee. Penny has worked with a number of our families as a mediator to help families and their loved ones work together to find ways to help friends make decisions together.

This meeting will be held virtually and is recorded for those who miss out. Please contact India and Mike for the Zoom link or more information.
