Disability Day on the Hill

Each year, Tennesseans from across the state meet with their legislators to advocate for the disability community. It is a chance to gather as a community and take part in the legislative process. The Tennessee Disability Coalition is excited to announce that advocates will be heading down to the Capitol in person this year, with plenty of opportunities to participate and advocate and celebrate virtually as well. The big day is today from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm (boxed lunches provided). On March 7 there will be an in-person community party from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm (heavy appetizers provided). The Coalition is planning two virtual events -- a webinar with legislators on March 2 at 1:00 pm and Nashville will light up on March 11 in "Coalition Blue" to celebrate Disability Advocacy Day and representing the teamwork behind all advocacy work.
