TABS Chat: "Supporting Sibling Employment"

Tennessee Adult Brothers and Sisters (TABS) is a support and networking group for adult siblings of individuals with disabilities. This conversation will focus on a variety of topics related to employment such as: strategies for navigating the employment supports and services available to adults with disabilities, examples of types of employment that can be individualized to the person, ways to match strengths, skills, and interests to specific jobs, and lessons learned from Ben’s brother’s employment path over the years. Ben Schwartzman received his Ph.D. in Education from UCLA where he specialized in interventions for youth and young adults with developmental disabilities with a particular emphasis on adult outcomes and employment. Currently, Having an autistic older brother and seeing his experiences navigating the transition from high school to paid employment led Ben to pursue a career in this field.
