If you ever think that just one vote in a sea of millions cannot make much of a difference, consider some of the closest elections in U.S. history, both in the 21st century. In 2000, for example, the election came down to a recount in Florida. 537 votes were the key to George W. Bush's win. Your vote matters. Tricia Herzfeld is a member of the Davidson County Election Commission. She will lead our class tonight and talk about how to make your voice count. Tricia will help you understand the steps involved in getting to vote -- from registering to vote (the deadline is October 11) to actually voting on November 8 (for Governor, U.S. House of Representatives, Tennessee Senate and Tennessee House of Representatives). Class will meet at the Easley Community Center at 1100 Edgehill Avenue from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm. For more information, contact Jordan Collins.
