The Civic Design Center is a nonprofit that works with residents, organizations and municipalities to help improve the quality of life of all people run communities. They do this through engagement, education, connection, and design. The Civic Design Center is hosting a breakfast event from 7:30 am - 10:30 am to focus attention on the YIMBY movement. The housing debate in Nashville has people calling for affordable housing but saying no to affordable housing in their own communities. This is a phenomenon called "Not in My Backyard," commonly referred to as NIMBY. The Civic Design Center is opening a discussion that supports the movement of YIMBY, or "Yes in My Backyard." Early bird rate for tickets is available until January 1.
