OPN Class: with Nashville Predators Defenseman, Mark Boroweicki

Mark Boroweicki is Nashville Predators defenseman who has been playing professional hockey for over a decade! Originally from Ottawa, Canada, Mark played for his home team - the Ottawa Senators for eight years before joining for Nashville Predators for the past 3 years. Mark may look like a strong, mean hockey defensive player when he’s on the ice, but off the ice he is incredible calm, quiet and kind. Mark has struggled with mental health challenges that has made being a professional athlete really difficult, and now wants to bring more awareness to mental health for younger athletes. Join us as he tells us all about his career and what he has learned, and have a chance to ask him questions about being a professional athlete! The class is at the Easley Community Center: 1000 Edgehill Avenue or on Zoom. (Contact Jordan Collins for more info, or the zoom link if you’d like to join remotely)
