By popular request and with inspiration from Netflix’s Love on the Spectrum, Autism Tennessee is pleased to announce their second annual Catch a Match event for autistic adults (18+) with low support needs on June 8th, 2023. This event will also be open to neurotypical adults and is an opportunity for participants to make platonic and/or romantic connections.
Because it is common for autistic adults to have difficulty with social skills and relationships, this event will kick off with a crash course on relationships and dating, immediately followed by a speed dating round. Hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be provided.
During this two-part event participants will:
Receive a crash course on dating and relationships
Participate in a speed dating round lasting 3 minutes each
Determine if they have made a platonic match, romantic match, or no match with each person they meet
Receive feedback on conversational skills (if wanted)Be connected with people they match with during speed dating
