The Metro Parks’ disABILITIES Program is offering inclusive kayaking at Hamilton Creek Marina — not only for individuals with IDD but for their friends and caregivers too. This event is free but there only a few spaces remaining . . . so reserve your spot NOW whether you’re the individual with an IDD, the friend or the caregiver. Register here.
You will start with a safety meeting and life jacket fitting. Then the group will explore the cove at Hamilton Creek in their kayaks.
Please bring sunscreen, water, a hat, and a towel. Make sure to wear water shoes or tennis shoes that are ok to be wet (flip flops will not stay on your feet in the water), and clothes that are ok to get wet. You also may bring a sack lunch and eat before or after your session.
For questions about this program or any of The Metro Parks’ disABILITIES Program’s offerings, please call their office at 615-862-8489 or email Glen Adkins.
