This year’s 10th annual ForkFest celebrates the music of Hank Williams on his 100th birthday with Shawn Camp and friends.
Shawn Camp is one of Our Place’s new friends — he was one of the wonderful singer/songwriters who allowed the legendary Roger Cook twist his arm to perform at our benefit concert at 3rd & Lindsley in August. Fork Fest’s organizer, Casey Wasner, says, “Fork Fest this year will be iconic, with the great Shawn Camp performing the songs of Hank Williams on Hank’s actual 100th birthday. All the stars have aligned for us to have a great day of music, food, and festivities.”
Attendees to Fork Fest are urged to come early to shop in the village, have lunch at specialty food trucks and local eateries. The event is a free, rain-or-shine event. Parking instructions will be displayed at the east entrance to the village and attendees can bring a lawn chair, but no pets or coolers.
